JENNA ROSE
Services: Cut, Color, Style, Extensions
12 years experience Why I became a stylist: It was a very organic progression of a 13-year-old punk kid who wanted to be creative: I started by cutting and coloring my friends hair and my own in my bedroom, and was always awestruck by the cute tattooed hairstylist my mom always went to. I just wanted to be "cool" like her! Salon Strength: I'm extremely time efficient, and have a good sense of deciphering what people are trying to say, without them actually being able to put it into words. With all the new trends of balayage and ombré styles, to be honest I wish I could do more traditional highlight patterns, I miss a good old fashioned full foil! There's something so satisfying about seeing all those perfectly stacked foil packets on a head. What I love about Tsubo: Tsubo allows me to live and work in Seattle, but come back to my clients I've had for so many years in Chicago and work for a week, every six weeks! What makes a great stylist-client relationship: Trust, communication and caring My passions outside the salon: Powerlifting, hiking, being active, cooking and being creative in the kitchen, my husband, Matt, and hanging with my dog, Santa. What inspires me: I'm inspired by anyone who is busting their butt and continues to educate themselves, I don't usually find inspiration from traditional hair gurus. If I weren’t a stylist, I’d be: traveling the world, or working on becoming a paramedic. Haircare product I can’t live without: Dry shampoo Two things about me you might not know: I can fold my tongue into a four-leaf clover, and I played water polo during almost all of my high school years.
